Marshall Training Night

Cumstone Farm Lockerbie Sat & Sun 19th & 20th June

We are keen to start 2021 activities by continuing the momentum we finished 2019 with before this dreaded pandemic affected all our developments.

Plans are well underway in organising the above event so now we need Trials Observers and Grasstrack/Scramble Marshals as this weekend will feature a Trial on the Saturday afternoon, a Grasstrack on the Saturday evening, and a whole day of Scrambles on the Sunday.

Trials training will be dealt with separately as already notified but this notice is a rally call for Scramble Marshalls.

With lockdown restrictions being further eased from May 17th a refresh/training meeting has been arranged in the Training room at AMD’s offices on Wednesday evening 19th May at 7.00pm. Our Chief Marshal Frank Black will run the session ably assisted by Peter Harper. Please communicate with Frank if you have any queries.

Derek Faulds who heads up our Scrambles division will be on hand with his extensive rider experience.

These events cannot run without your valuable help so please make every effort to attend and bring along as many friends and family you can encourage to get involved.

Our ‘Trials Section’ has organised an ambitious programme of ten Trials in 2021 and we need observers more than ever so this plea is on behalf of us all at The Galloway Motorcycle Club asking you  to come and help us achieve our plans.

It may not be possible for everyone to come to all our events which is why we need a pool of volunteers to call on.

This is an enjoyable and rewarding experience resulting in a good day out.

We are looking at arranging an outdoor refresh/training session with plenty of fresh air and social distancing to get us started and this will be advised shortly so please come along and also encourage family and friends to get involved. We cannot hold Trials without you so your assistance will be much appreciated.

As our first Trial will be held at Wallaceton on May 20th which is the opening round of our Club Trials Championship held over four midweek Thursdays May to August inclusive could you please once again email confirmation of your interest by Tuesday 4th May.
