First summer series evening trial 14th May 2026

Get your excuses to leave work early sorted out and the bike in the van ready to go.

Our summer series kicks off in just over 2 weeks.
The sections have had an overhaul for this year thanks to Shane and the setting out / tree cutting gang.

Venue: Dardarroch Wood, Wallaceton, Dunscore – same location as previous years.
What3Words: https://w3w.co/soaps.gadget.marmalade
Plan is for 3 laps of 12 sections.
Start: 6pm – sign on from 5pm. Adults £15/Youths £10.
Enter on the night – please bring your licence.

Three courses where possible (not every on every section). Novice and Clubman are Twinshock and pre-65 friendly. Sections will be easier than our Sunday trails, it’s an opportunity for riders who want to try moving up a route as well as some mid-week fun!
Trial will have ‘some’ observers, and remaining sections ‘mark the next rider’.
Look forward to seeing you there.

Thank you to all of you who support this event. We were delighted to welcome riders from Perthshire to the South Lakes and all the well-known faces from in between. Despite the boggy conditions we, more or less, dodged the rain. It’s fair to say some of the sections turned out more challenging than anticipated. Well done to everyone for getting stuck in.

A big thank you to our observer team, standing out all day and braving the elements was a great effort and very much appreciated. It is fantastic to have fully observed trails. Apologies we forgot to hold the raffle. There will be even more to take home at the next trial.

Beech Drive is great venue for trials and our gratitude goes out to Mr Gourley for access to the land. Well done to Andrew and his organising team. We had lots of positive feedback on the day, which is appreciated. Any hints and tips for improvements are welcome too!

Our next trail will be at the height of summer, that’s Dalpeddar on Sunday 28th of June. We’ll be doing the northern loop (the best known one). The club looks forward to seeing you all there.Final comment and well done to our Pre-65 and twin-shock riders. Great to see you all.
